. What, sis? No shampoo? Girl, I need to clean my scalp, that’s nasty. Wait, wait...you can still clean your hair without shampoo technically...USE A CO-WASH! What is a co-wash? Co-washing is simply washing your hair with conditioner only. It removes dirt and impurities without stripping your hair of its natural oils or a.k.a. (MOISTURE). It’s sulfate free and color safe. NOT, just a conditioner.
. All conditioners are not created equal. I recommend ditching your normal conditioner and getting a MASK. No, not the one you put over your face, but one that is used as a hair treatment. Most have heard of a mask only when used in the salon as a luxury hair treatment, but did you know you can use a mask at home on a regular basis? But, why? Why would I use a mask over a conditioner? What is the difference? A mask is more concentrated with oil and will hydrate the hair more effectively. My favorite is “It's a 10.” You know how you normally hear people say you have to use it a few times before you see the results...NOT THIS TIME…your hair will immediately feel soft and moisturized as soon as you spray “It's a 10” on your hair.
